The Purpose of the HTL Theological Education Scholarship:
Pay tribute to the early missionaries who came to China. They endured many hardships, even martyrdom for the sake of bringing the gospel to the Chinese. Special tribute to five generations of the Taylor family who dedicated themselves to the gospel for the Chinese.
Support and encourage Canadian Chinese believers to participate in the Global Missions, guided by the Holy Spirit, committed to learning, in active imitation of the legacy of faithfulness of missionaries of the past, offering themselves and their families as living testimonies of Christ, serving the unreached peoples in faraway lands.
Encourage Chinese Churches to actively participate in Global Missions, not working alone, but to work in partnership with Mission organizations and Missionaries, in order to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ.

- able to demonstrate a passion for cross-cultural ministries
